    Safe piercing jewelry should be made of implant-grade materials like ASTM F-136 Titanium, solid 14k/18k Gold, or Niobium. Always ask the piercer for the material grade certification.

      Common signs include persistent redness, intense itching, rash-like irritation, and fluid discharge that continues well past the initial healing period. This often indicates a nickel allergy.

    • Is surgical stainless steel safe for initial piercings?
      While often marketed as safe, “surgical steel” can still contain trace amounts of nickel. Implant-grade titanium is the safer, superior choice for a fresh piercing as it is completely inert and nickel-free.

  • What is the best aftercare solution for a nose piercing?
    The best aftercare is a sterile saline solution (0.9% sodium chloride) or simply clean water. Avoid harsh chemicals like alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or antibacterial soaps, as these can dry out the tissue and delay healing.
  • Can I change my nose piercing jewelry before it’s fully healed?

    American Traditional, or ‘Old School,’ is defined by bold black outlines, a limited color palette (red, yellow, green, black), and iconic imagery like anchors, swallows, roses, and pin-up girls.
  • Is it painful to get a tattoo or a piercing?
    Both involve discomfort, which varies by location. Piercings are a sharp, quick pinch. Tattoos are a continuous dull, vibrating sensation. Most people find tattoos much more manageable than they anticipate.
